Empowering Leaders Through Evidence-Based Coaching

More about coaching…

Operating at the intersection of leadership science (Bass, 2014), leadership within structural and social systems (Dei, 2007; Blackmore, 2010; Katz, 2020; Khalifa, 2020; Shield, 2020), and behavioral psychology (Grant, 2019; Jones, 2024), this coaching practice delivers evidence-based guidance that catalyzes measurable performance gains.

Drawing upon extensive expertise in organizational development, the practice designs comprehensive coaching solutions that enable executives and teams to optimize decision-making, implement strategic initiatives, and sustain high-impact behaviors. Each engagement is grounded in validated assessment tools, structured goal tracking, and rigorous feedback cycles, thereby ensuring transparency and quantifiable results. Clients consistently report enhanced clarity, elevated engagement metrics, and accelerated professional growth after completing the program.

More about me…

For over fifteen years, I progressed through various leadership roles. I sat on the other side of the table — as a superintendent overseeing more than 200 schools and 140,000 students, and before that leading equity, inclusion and system-wide learning across two of Ontario's largest public school boards. I designed and delivered professional learning for thousands of educators and leaders in public, corporate and non-profit environments; co-developed system-wide research and equity tools, mentored aspiring principals and supervisory officers, and spent countless hours in one-on-one conversations that had nothing to do with a formal coaching credential and everything to do with helping someone think clearly through what came next.

Those conversations kept teaching me something: the people carrying the most responsibility — managers, senior leaders, educators, principals, professionals rebuilding a career — rarely have a space that's theirs to think out loud.

So I built one.

My coaching practice grew out of that system leadership: the research training, the equity/trauma-embedded lens, the years spent listening to what people needed before they could say it themselves. Now with my professional coaching credential completed, I bring to every session the same rigor I brought to system-level work — structured, evidence-informed, and centered on the person in front of me.

This is the work I was already doing. Now it has room to be exactly that.

Client Reviews

“I had a really positive experience being coached by Donna. She is a very attentive listener and created a comfortable space for me to talk through what was on my mind. I appreciated how present she was throughout the conversation and how she picked up on the things I was saying without making the session feel overly structured. Her questions helped me think through my situation more clearly, and I came away with a better understanding of what I wanted to focus on next. Donna has a warm and thoughtful coaching style, and I really enjoyed our session…”

“I had the pleasure of being coached by Donna, and the experience exceeded my expectations. What stands out most about her is the balance she strikes between empathy and practicality. She has a natural emotional intelligence that allows her to quickly understand not just what you are saying, but what matters underneath it — and she uses that insight to guide the conversation somewhere useful rather than simply reassuring.

Her style is calm, respectful, and focused. She asks the kind of questions that make you think differently, and she never rushes or imposes her own agenda. By the end of our session, I had a much clearer view of my situation and a set of realistic, actionable steps to move forward with.

I would recommend Donna without hesitation to anyone seeking a coach who is both warm and results-oriented.”

“Working with Donna as a coach was an exceptional experience. Although I originally knew her as my supervisor, reaching out to her in a coaching capacity was entirely different — and deeply valuable. Donna created a space where I felt fully heard and understood, without any sense of hierarchy or past roles shaping the conversation.

Her questions were thoughtful and clarifying, helping me untangle what I was navigating and see my situation with much more focus. I appreciated how natural the session felt — structured enough to move me forward, yet spacious enough to explore what mattered most.

Donna’s coaching style is warm, empathetic, genuinely centered on the client. I left our conversation with clearer priorities, renewed confidence, and a sense of momentum. I’m grateful I reached out.”
